This course is designed for candidates that have no formal qualification in gas. In order to do a ACS assessment the candidate must also have ‘on the job training/experience’ to supplement the training course at the centre

Gas pipework
Installation of pipework to BS6891Types of Domestic gas meter
‘U’ gauge/Gas pressures/Pipe sizing/Tightness testing/Purging
Practical identification of unsafe situations
Types of Flue system Reference to BS 5440-1-2000
Combustion
Ventilation to BS 5440-2-2000
Gas safety controls
Appliances, Boilers, Cookers, Fires, Water heaters
Commissioning appliances
Course duration 25 days on a part time day basis
