Solar Hot Water



CK Assessment and Training offer training and assessment on Solar Hot Water.

The revised BPEC course is of a 2 day duration leading to theoretical exam on the afternoon of the second day.
To be accepted for assessment an individual must now be able to present copies of certificates of appropriate trade qualifications or evidence that they have a number of years of experience of working within the industry, a minimum of 2 years. In addition they must also hold a certificate of competence in the installation of unvented domestic hot water cylinders or be undertaking training and assessment for an unvented certificate as part of, or in addition to, the solar hot water programme. Examples of acceptable qualifications are:
  • S/NVQ in plumbing, heating and ventilation, gas service and maintenance
  • City & Guilds or SQA certificates in plumbing, heating and ventilation, gas service and maintenance
  • ACS certificates in CCN1 AND CEN1

  • Where evidence of experience is required, this may take the form of:
  • Copies of work records
  • Copies of invoices
  • Customer testimonials
